Summary: Love isn't complete without passion. That's just fact. However, that passion can turn into something deadly on a whim. All it takes is some jealousy and the odd centuries-old curse or two.

History: Way long ago when the Malmeluks were still a thing, the Christian villages that they pillaged grew desperate and turned to Satanism and witchcraft for some form of salvation. It got to the point where even their savior, the King John of Serbia, thought they were too far gone to live, and killed them all. Or did he? Some escaped, and carried their powers on to others. Basically, they would turn into fearsome black panthers upon being aroused with passion. One of those people was Irena Dubrovna, and her relationship troubles are there to fight fire with gasoline...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Unable to stand her condition anymore, Irena frees a panther at the zoo that mauls her to death (by pouncing past her apparently). Then a police car runs it over. Darn. No sequel (and no, that actual sequel DOESN'T COUNT).

Powers/Abilities: The Cat People turn into black panthers whenever aroused by sexual ideals.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-The idea of your lover turning into an apex predator the moment you get close to her. That's all that needs to be said. At least panthers look pretty cuddly before the fangs come out.

Trivia: -Black panthers are typically found in South America and Africa, though rumor has it that there are some in Australia. Yay.

-Cats have a complicated history with human culture. For instance, they were revered as Gods in Egypt, and reviled as companions of witches in Europe.
